Interstate regulations require a driver to be at least 21 years of age and intrastate regulations require drivers to be at least 18 years old.
Students will also have the opportunity to gain experience working for an employer through the on-the-job training portion of the Truck Driving and Transportation program.
This program is approved by the Iowa Department of Education, the Iowa Motor Truck Association, and the Job Training Program.
The Truck Driving & Transportation Training program begins in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. The course is conducted over a 16-week period and includes a total of 544 hours of classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.
Students in the Truck Driving and Transportation program interested in continuing their education should visit with a program advisor.
